JAN 01
ASSESSMENT DATE. |
Property values are assessed based on their value as of January 1. |

APR 15
INITIAL VALUATIONS MAILED. |
Notices of Appraised Value are mailed from the Appraisal District. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible after receiving this notice so we can start filing your protest! |

MAY 15
APPEAL DEADLINE. |
The deadline to file a protest is May 15 or 30 days after the Notice of Appraised Value was postmarked, whichever is later. We file all of our clients' protests every year. |

MAY - JULY
HEARINGS IN SESSION. |
The Appraisal Review Board (ARB) handles protest disputes. |
|
NOV
TAX STATEMENTS MAILED. |
The new tax rates are adopted and applied to the certified values. Tax statements are mailed shortly afterward. |
|
JAN 31 OF THE FOLLOWING YEAR
PAYMENT DEADLINE. |
Last day to pay property taxes without penalty. |
